What Are the Differences Between Premier and Traditional at Hyde Homes?
Buying a home is a landmark moment in one’s life, and it’s a process that deserves time and care. If you’re interested in purchasing a home, you should get advice and assistance from professionals in the industry. Here at Hyde Homes, we ensure customers can get the perfect home that matches their budget, suits all their needs, and is built to perfection as we are premier home builders in Alabama.
Check out how our two main home series, premier and traditional, compare with one another below.
Exterior Differences Between Traditional and Premier
On the exterior, both of our home lines are available with brick exteriors for a stylish and classic façade—see an example of the look in the Traditional Series 1947 home. Similarly, each of the series features architectural shingles with a limited lifetime warranty, energy-efficient vinyl windows and carriage-style garage doors.
The differences lie in additional offerings and finer details. The premier series homes come with a covered patio that utilizes stained cedar columns. These homes also feature a covered porch with 8” stained cedar columns and a low maintenance insulated stained fiberglass front door.
Interior Differences Between Traditional and Premier
Moving inside, the differences between the two homes become even more distinct. The premier series home features 5” birch hardwood throughout living areas, ceramic tile in the bathrooms and carpet for the bedrooms and stairs.
The premier homes also come with granite countertops in the kitchen and bathrooms, 5 ¼” baseboards throughout the house and Castle Stacked 36” cabinetry. To get a better idea of the interior of our premier homes, check out our Premier Series 1947 home.
Construction Differences Between Traditional and Premier
Hyde Homes takes great pride in how we build our new construction homes. Each home line is built with engineered roof trusses, 3000 PSI concrete foundations with steel reinforcement, 7/16” OSB exterior wall sheathing, Delta Plumbing fixtures and high-density polyethylene water lines. The differences in construction between the premier and traditional homes are few, yet important. We build premier homes with a static radon vent and raise the ceiling height of the first floor by 9’. Learn more about the construction of premier homes by checking out the Premier Series 2016 home.
Energy Efficiency in Every Hyde Home
In all our home builds, we place great importance on energy efficiency, so we use the best materials possible. Both of our home series feature R-13 wall insulation and R-38 blown attic insulation. All windows are Low-E insulated, and we’ve included the 14 SEER American Standard Heat Pump that comes with a programmable digital thermostat.
What’s more, our homes utilize LED light bulbs, water-saving faucets, toilets, showerheads and low-VOC paint and carpet. Upon construction, our homes receive the TVA EnergyRight platinum certification and are independently audited using the HERS index.
Warranties Available on Every Hyde Home
No matter what kind of home you purchase from Hyde Homes, they all come with a warranty. We offer a one-year sentricon termite bond, a one-year workmanship warranty and a two-year mechanical systems warranty. On top of that, every home has a ten-year structural warranty for the greatest peace of mind.
